On this article I am going to outline all the facts to note as a beginner or newbie in blogging.
Before I start listing those facts, I would love to define what blog is and the difference between a blog and a website because many mistakes them for each other.
What is a Blog?
A blog is a web page that is typically run personally or by group of authors and its updated often to be running and passing of information daily. For example; News and entertainment blog.
What is a website?
Website is regarded as a company site that is typically one page that link up other related pages under one roll and it’s particularly about the company’s purpose.
Difference between a blog and a website
The difference between these two are not quite wide but very simple.
A blog runs daily with updated information such as news, technology and education
While a website is built on a page that doesn’t requires daily updates but static with the company’s information
Similarities between a blog and a website
The similarities here has to do with a whole lots, they are both carrying information we found on the web.
They both has a purpose and a unique domain host which makes them to be found on the internet while using the search engine
Blog and website both has targeted audiences they both aim to achieve however the case may be.
And lastly but not the least, a blog and a website uses both themes or templates to have a beautiful look in oder to be outstanding.

Over the years, I have come across many people goes into blogging without knowing what it takes or having a clear knowledge about it.
I belong to couples of bloggers group on Facebook and LinkedIn where I see beginners asking questions like “how can I make money from my blog,” “how can I generate traffic to my blog” and how can I get people to click on my affiliate links”
So many questions like these triggers my attention to come up with this article just to get fresh bloggers ready for the task ahead of them not to quit or stress over less issues.

One of the facts is; Have an idea of what your niche will be before embarking on a blog
It’s time to think within yourself what you are passionate about and can also write on at any time you feel like blogging and you won’t easily ran out of content or feel tired.
You may be wondering what is a niche? Yes, Niche is what your blog stand out for which could be Fashion, Health, Finance, Entertainment and so on.
Now that you know your niche, it’s time to sit back and get all the materials it will take you and also write some article to publish then save on your computer or tablet.

Let’s now look at the steps to take as a beginner when creating a blog and what it will take you generally.
There are major blogging platform but I will be focusing on the most notable and common among them which are WordPress and Blogspot
Here is one of the popular platform to start your blog with lots of plugins that are already programmed to work perfectly for you even when you don’t know how to code/program.
Blogspot is one of the oldest blogging platform that is own by google to serve as a free saver for blogging with free template for beginners and it’s created with just an active email address.
I believe you have your choice now between a blogspot blog and a WordPress blog and apparently wants to start your own blog in oder to start making money from it daily, weekly and monthly. Don’t ask me how, you will know at the end of this article (lol)

There are lots of companies hosting blog today and amongst other I will recommend Godady or Bluehost as tested and trusted hosting company
By now you already know the platform you desire to use for your blog either WordPress Blog or Blogspot Blog, so visit them and sign up and your blog or site will be few steps away.
Theme or template:
These are the outlooks of your blog that has to do with colors, widgets and mostly the smoothness of your blog, all these depends on your theme or template.
So, in this case choose a nice and beautiful theme or template and please if you can afford pro version of them it will be advised to do because most free templates and themes carries internal links such as attributes.
Remember I told you to get some content ready to post immediately you blog is ready, now it’s time to publish them on your blog to be available on search engine.
Little or few means of generating traffic to your blog daily. Let your content be unique and original and minimum of 800 to 1000 words or more.
Many blogger needs this but finds it difficult to get or even to solve it and they lack the knowledge because they just want to blog because one is blogging successfully.

How to build traffic to your blog using social media platforms
1. You already have your niche that you want to blog on, it will be nice if you create your niche pages on social media and grow them to a larger audience before creating a blog.
2. Join Facebook groups that are relevant or related to your niche and be active as it will help you to share your content after creating your blog.
3. Create your own Facebook group and target foreign countries as that will boost your revenue when you monetize your blog in the future
4. Create WhatsApp groups, Telegram, LinkedIn that are related to your niche as that will also grow your audience locally and internationally
5. Don’t copy and paste your url links under Facebook post just to get traffic, it’s very risky but you can chat admin and agree on what it will take you for them to publish your content on their big page.
